About NC Fresh Catch

Fresh NC Flavor

NC Fresh Catch is a statewide concert series promoting the richness of North Carolina’s natural and creative resources.  This unique series focuses on creating and strengthening community relationships between local arts and sustainable commerce in North Carolina and abroad.  Partners include a range of musicians and artisans, local and regional farms, fisheries, restaurants and craft breweries. These efforts combine to ensure the continued growth of sustainable relationships and practices and raise awareness of the state’s resourceful communities.

The Music

NC Fresh Catch and The Hills to Holy Water Music Arts Tour showcases an original bill representing a diverse range of musical styles. From bluegrass to jazz to jam rock, the sound on stage is guaranteed to be as fresh and original as the food.

Local farms & NC seafood

For each event, the festival works closely with local restaurants personal chefs, catering companies, and food trucks to specially craft menus reflecting local flavors, highlighting the freshest ingredients and products from North Carolina fishermen and farmers. Together, we are invigorating the local, sustainable, agricultural and commercial economy.

Real Local Support: NC Fresh Catch not only sets the stage for great local food and music but is also a vehicle for getting fresh NC seafood into the kitchens of restaurants across the state.  It creates the opportunity for chefs to connect with commercial fishermen and helps build business relationships for everyone involved in between.

Each event introduces healthful, affordable and simple cuisine options to the general public with the hope that new ideas are taken back to the home kitchen.  We feel that fresh seafood should not be a luxury nor intimidating to cook.  There are lots of choices out there other than tuna, mahi, and flounder swimming around the NC waters and we would like to open up these options and encourage culinary exploration.

The Breweries

North Carolina and the surrounding region is leading the southeast in new and exciting independent and craft beer breweries.  Our goal is to present festival participants with an assortment of exceptional flavors and help showcase the craftsmen that are putting this region on the map.

Local non-profits & charity

Charities and local nonprofits represent the heart of a community. We connect with community organizations that share similar goals in sustainability and cultural appreciation. Such partnerships reinforce our commitment to grassroots community involvement, while allowing the festival to have a lasting and practical impact. Each event shares sponsorship with a local nonprofit organization. NC Fresh Catch is in its 7th major stop of its third season and has raised over $15,000 for regional nonprofits.
